Galvanized sheet function

Galvanized steel plate is to prevent corrosion on the surface of the steel plate to prolong its service life, coated with a layer of metal zinc on the surface of the steel plate, the zinc coated steel plate is called galvanized plate.

Galvanized sheet appearance

(1) Surface state: Because of the different treatment methods in the plating process, the surface state of galvanized plate is also different, such as ordinary zinc flowers, fine zinc flowers, flat zinc flowers, zinc flowers and phosphating surface. The German standard also provides for surface grades.

(2) Galvanized sheet should have a good appearance, no defects harmful to the use of products, such as no plating, holes, cracks and scum, more than thick plating, abrasion, chromic acid dirt, white rust, etc. Foreign standards are not very clear about the specific appearance defects. Some specific defects should be specified in the contract when ordering.

Galvanized sheet mechanical property

(1) Tensile test:

(1) Performance index: Generally speaking, only structural, tensile and deep drawing galvanized sheet with tensile performance requirements. The structural galvanized sheet requires yield point, tensile strength and elongation. Only elongation is required for stretching. See the product standards in Section 8 for specific values;

(2) Test method: The same as the general test method of thin steel plate, see the relevant standards provided in "8" and the test method standard listed in "ordinary carbon steel sheet".

(2) Bending test:

The bending test is the main item to measure the process performance of sheet metal, but the standards of different countries have different requirements for all kinds of galvanized sheet. The American standard does not require bending and tensile test except for structural grade. In Japan, bending tests are required except for structural grade, architectural corrugated plate and general corrugated plate.

Requirements: The general requirements of galvanized sheet bending 180, the outer surface shall not be separated from the zinc layer, the plate base shall not have cracking and fracture.

Galvanized sheet packing

It is divided into two kinds: galvanized sheet cut into fixed length and galvanized sheet packing with coil. General iron packaging, lined with moisture-proof paper, with iron kidneys tied on the bracket. Strapping should be firm to prevent internal galvanized sheet friction.
