Galvanized steel is a specially treated building material. This treatment method is to galvanize ordinary carbon construction steel to enhance its corrosion resistance and corrosion resistance. This treatment can effectively prevent the steel from being affected by corrosion and rust during use, thus extending the service life of the steel.

There are two main methods for the production of galvanized steel, one is electric galvanizing, and the other is hot dip galvanizing. Electrogalvanizing is to put steel into an electroplating solution containing zinc ions, and through the action of current, zinc ions form a uniform and tight zinc layer on the surface of steel. The advantages of this method are high production efficiency and low cost, but the thickness of the zinc layer is limited, generally only a few microns.

Hot dip galvanizing is to immerse the steel into the molten zinc liquid, so that the steel surface is attached to a thick layer of zinc. The advantage of this method is that the thickness of the zinc layer can reach tens of microns, or even hundreds of microns, so the corrosion resistance is better and the service life is longer. However, due to the need to heat the molten zinc liquid, the energy consumption is high and the cost is relatively high.
