For the production process of steel galvanized coil, the core step is to immerse the steel plate in a molten zinc bath to form a uniform and dense zinc layer on its surface. This process is mainly achieved through a continuous galvanizing process, which involves the continuous feeding of already rolled steel plates into an electroplating bath filled with molten zinc. In addition to the traditional pure zinc coating, there is also a product called alloyed galvanized steel plate. This type of galvanized steel plate is also manufactured by hot dipping, but the steel plate that has just been removed from the plating tank is heated immediately after the zinc dipping step is completed. Specifically, these steel plates are rapidly heated to about 500 degrees Celsius, at which temperature the pure zinc layer originally attached to the surface of the steel plate begins to interact with the base metal (i.e. iron), gradually transforming into an alloy structure composed of zinc and iron. This special treatment not only enhances the bonding force between the coating and the substrate, but also significantly improves the overall performance of the material, especially improving its paint adhesion and welding characteristics.
