Austenitic stainless steels are stainless steels that have an austenitic structure at room temperature. Its main components include about 18% chromium (Cr), 8% to 25% nickel (Ni), and 0.1% carbon (C). This stainless steel has high toughness and plasticity, but relatively low strength.

Martensitic stainless steel is a steel whose mechanical properties can be adjusted by heat treatment. At different tempering temperatures, it can show different strength and toughness.

Duplex stainless steels are stainless steels that have an austenitic structure at room temperature. Its composition is similar to that of austenitic stainless steel, including about 18% chromium (Cr), 8% to 25% nickel (Ni) and 0.1% carbon (C). This stainless steel also has high toughness and plasticity, but the strength is relatively low.

Ferritic stainless steel contains 15% to 30% chromium and has a body-centered cubic crystal structure. This type of steel generally does not contain nickel, and sometimes contains a small amount of molybdenum (Mo), titanium (Ti), niobium (Nb) and other elements. This kind of steel has the characteristics of large thermal conductivity, small expansion coefficient, good oxidation resistance and excellent stress corrosion resistance.
