321 / 321H stainless steel plates are titanium stabilized austenitic stainless steels that exhibit excellent high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance. Compared with conventional chromium-nickel stainless steels like 304, 321 stainless steel plate offers superior resistance to chemical corrosion and is especially suitable for welded structures or components exposed to elevated temperatures for prolonged periods.
Alloy 321 (UNS S32100) is a low-carbon grade designed to resist sensitization during welding or other heat processes. Alloy 321H (UNS S32109) is a high-carbon version (0.04–0.10%), developed for enhanced creep resistance and improved high-temperature strength above 1000°F (537°C). In most cases, plates are dual certified to meet both grade requirements.
These grades perform well within the 800–1500°F (427–816°C) temperature range, especially in conditions where aqueous corrosion may follow high-temperature exposure.
Outstanding High-Temperature Strength: Withstands intermittent exposure up to 900°C and continuous service up to 925°C, ideal for high temperature stainless steel applications.
Excellent Intergranular Corrosion Resistance: Retains corrosion resistance after welding or heat exposure in critical temperature ranges.
Titanium Stabilization: Prevents carbide precipitation and ensures long-term durability.
Stronger than 304/304L: Higher creep and stress rupture strength, especially suited for heat-resistant structural applications.
Work Hardenable by Cold Working: Cannot be hardened by heat treatment but has excellent cold working properties.
We offer multiple industrial and decorative finishes:
Available Finishes: 2B, No.4 PVC, BA PVC
Standard Lengths (mm): 2000 / 2500 / 3000 / 6000
Standard Widths (mm): 1000 / 1250 / 1500
Thickness Range: Custom thicknesses available (custom stainless steel plate service)
All materials are produced in accordance with ASTM A480M tolerances, with full mill test certificates (MTC) or third-party inspection reports provided.
321 / 321H stainless steel sheets are ideal for corrosion resistant stainless steel and high-temperature environments, including:
Exhaust systems, heat exchangers, and boiler components
Refinery towers and petrochemical vessels
Aerospace engine parts and thermal shielding
Welded pharmaceutical and food processing equipment
Heat treatment furnace internals and ducting
321 / 321H stainless steel plates offer excellent workability and weldability. They can be easily processed by TIG, MIG, laser welding, resistance welding, and other standard fabrication methods. The titanium-stabilized structure enhances resistance to post-weld sensitization, making it suitable for complex fabrication under high thermal stress.
