Pre-coated galvanized steel (PPGI) and pre-coated galvanized aluminum (PPGL), also known as pre-coated steel or color-coated steel coils, are products made from steel plates that have undergone a range of treatments. These treatments include hot dip galvanizing, electric galvanizing, etc. After surface pretreatment, the surface of the steel plate is coated with one or several layers of organic coating and then cured by baking.
The pre-coated steel coil has the characteristics of light weight, beautiful appearance, good anti-corrosion properties, etc., and can be directly processed. Its color variety is rich, common gray, navy blue, brick red and so on. This material is widely used in advertising production, building construction, decorative design, home appliance manufacturing, electrical appliance production, furniture manufacturing and transportation and other fields.
The variety of coatings used in color coated steel coils depends mainly on the type of resin selected and environmental conditions. Common coatings are polyester silicon modified polyester, PVC plastisol, polyvinylidene chloride and so on.
